Hungryroot 101: Prepping Your Kitchen
While your delivery is en route to your doorstep, it’s time to make sure you’re set up for culinary success. We’d recommend stocking your kitchen with a few basics that’ll help you make mealtime magic.

Here’s what we’d recommend having on hand to ensure an easy and enjoyable cooking experience:
- A 10 or 12-inch skillet, depending on how many you’re feeding
- A large pot
- A sheet pan or baking dish
- A trusty chef’s knife + cutting board
- A box grater
- Olive oil (avocado or grapeseed oil work well, too!)
- Salt + pepper
Want to give your meal a little something extra? We’d recommend keeping a few of these ingredients around for a boost of flavor. (Hot tip: you can even add some of these items to your delivery.)
Try topping your recipes with one of these tasty add-ons:
- Hot sauce
- Soy sauce
- Vinegar
- Butter or ghee
- Ketchup, mayo + mustard
- Nuts + seeds
- Lemons + limes
- Fresh herbs
- Your favorite cheese (or dairy-free equivalent!)
- Alliums (i.e. onions, garlic, shallots)
