A Dietitian’s Top 9 Go-To Hungryroot Groceries

It’s a food obsessive’s favorite time of year: National Nutrition Month! We couldn’t let it pass without proper celebration, so we teamed up with Hannah Cooper, a registered dietitian known across social media as @eatwellwithhannah, to share the groceries she can’t go without. Take it away, Hannah!

Confession: I love the convenience of having my groceries delivered to my door. As a dietitian, I’m always looking for new products that are healthy, fit my dietary preferences, and have minimal ingredients—and Hungryroot delivers on all fronts (no pun intended).

I’ve been getting my groceries delivered for the past 4 years, so I think it is safe to say I’ve reached Hungryroot ~Expert Level~. Check out my 9 non-negotiables when it comes to my weekly Hungryroot delivery.

  1. Bruschetta Chicken Patties: These are my go-to when I’m in a pinch. They take less than 15 minutes to cook and are the perfect high-protein addition to a salad or power bowl. When I have more time for a meal, I like to make burgers on the Outer Aisle Cauliflower Sandwich Thins and top them with Super Special Sauce

  1. Atlantic Salmon Filets: Salmon is one of my ultimate favorite foods. It’s packed with so many nutrients, like protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and micronutrients. I love using this salmon for big chopped salads or served with some smashed garlic potatoes.

  1. Mini Sweet Bell Peppers: My favorite salad topping and crunchy snack when I need something fresh and high in fiber! These are great filled with some hummus, a mini brie cheese, or even Kite Hill Dairy-Free Cream Cheese.

  1. Multicolored Creamer Potatoes: I love making crispy smashed garlic potatoes with these. I’m big on meals I can make in 30 minutes or less, and because these potatoes are so small, they cook quickly. Plus, they’re a great source of potassium and fiber!
  1. Brown Rice Quinoa Blend: I love this blend for a power bowl base. It offers a little boost of protein and fiber—and the best part is, it’s ready in 90 seconds.

  1. Cauliflower Sandwich Thins: When it’s burger night, you can bet I’m using a couple of these cauliflower thins as my bun. I love getting some extra veggies and fiber in with my dinner.

  1. Sea Salt Cauliflower Tortilla Chips: If there could only be one food in my delivery, it would be these chips. You can’t even tell they aren’t regular tortilla chips—which blows my mind every time!

  1. Organic Cashew Butter Dark Chocolate Bar: A day of eats is not complete without a square or two (or three…) of this chocolate bar from Hu. I love the nutrition label on this bar—with minimal ingredients and no added sugar, it’s a no brainer.
  1. Sous-Vide Gruyere + Prosciutto Egg Bite: When I’m in a rush in the morning, I always reach for these egg bites. They’re ready in less than a minute and are the perfect protein-packed breakfast. Pro tip: when I have more time in the morning, I like to break them apart and make breakfast tacos!
